15 March 2018, Camberwell, London.
On my (generally ignored) to-do list is a study of the trees of Camberwell. This is generally with a view to produce more large scale artworks on plywood (similar to this produced in 2017). The light this morning looked good enough to do a bit of a scouting mission but I was also keen to capture the evidence of spring - the bursting magnolia buds and sprays of cherry blossom). Spring is going to get a shock this weekend as more snow is forecast - I'm rather excited about that :)
I also stumbled upon the cool addition of a fixed telescope on Love Walk. It is trained upon the spire of St. Giles' church on Camberwell Church Street. It is a lovely footpath distraction - I've never noticed it before, has it been there long?
